教学步骤及方法
Preparation
To devide the class into 4 little groups. T: Boys and girls, I know you are all very clever. Today, let’s have a competition ! Let’s see ,Group 1、2、3、4, which group is the best!
Warm up
1. Sing an English song.
T: Boys and girls, I am Miss Yu. I’m very glad to be with you today. Let’s sing an English song OK? Ss: Yes !
2. Greeting and making some free talks with the class. Ask some questions like these: How are you? What do you like? What’s this? Is it a…? Who’s he? Let’s play/ run…
Revision
1. Review the numbers from 1 to 12, so that the students will be prepared to learn about telling the time in English.
a). Whole class to count the numbers from 1 to 12. Using the word cards.
b) . Game : ‘before’ and ‘after’.
To tell the students, that I am going to say a number. They have to say the number that comes before and after that number.
Example: T: Nine. Ss: Eight、Ten.
Presentation
1. Listen and guess.
a). T says a riddle and do some actions, Ss try to guess what’s that.
‘I have a good friend. It has got a round face. It hasn’t got any legs. But it can walk. It can wake me up in the morning. Who is it?’
b). To show a clock, and learn to say the word ‘clock’. Who can pronounce correctly, can get a picture of a clock.
2. Look、listen and say.
a). Listen to the sound of clock and ask: ‘What’s the time? ’ Making them answer : It’s … o’clock. Practice more times with the patterns. (Using the clock)
b). Game: Tiger 、tiger , What’s the time?
Ask a student to be a tiger, others to be chicken. The chicken ask the tiger the time, When it’ 7 o’clock、12 o’clock and 6 o’clock ,they must keep silent, if not, they will be eaten by tiger.
c). T show a clock and ask: ‘Is it 8 o’clock? ’ .To Make them answer like these : Yes, it is. / No, it isn’t. (Write the patterns on the blackboard.)
d). Ask and answer in groups, using the pictures of clock.
E). Check some pairs to say.
3. Look、listen and find ‘ o’clock’.
a).Open the books and introduce the main meaning of the text.
b).Listen to the tape first , point and find ‘ o’clock ’.Underline the word they don’t understand.(Look at ‘my dictionary’ and find the answer on the screen.)
c).Read after the tape, imitate to the tape.
d).Read the text after teacher.
Consolidation
To do the exercise of activity book. (Listen and draw the time.)
Ending
a). Summary what have we learned today.
b). Looking at the b. b and to see which group is the winner. Then ask : What’s the time? It’s time to say goodbye.
